Chan Chee Kong Joseph

Joseph is the Assistant Director at Care Corner Singapore, where he brings over 25 years of experience in social work, especially in helping families, ex-offenders, and communities find stability and hope. Before this, he led the Nexus Reintegration Service at Allkin Singapore Ltd, supporting people transitioning back into society after incarceration.

Joseph is a Registered Social Worker and a Certified Substance Abuse Counsellor (CSAC).  He is trained in the Gottman Method (Levels 1–3), and in Emotion-Focused Couple therapy — areas he is passionate about, especially in supporting couples and families through tough times.

Joseph’s journey has taken him through many roles such as running a Family Service Centre, working with inmates and their families at the Prison Link Centre, and spending over a decade supporting persons with disabilities through vocational and counselling work. He was involved in advocating against family violence, working with national agencies, and co-piloting community reintegration projects. Currently, he is deepening his learning through a Doctor of Education in Community Care and Counselling with Liberty University. With personal integration that is underpinned by psychology and pastoral care, Joseph believes strongly in the role of spirituality in building resilience for both clients and fellow practitioners.
