Lina is currently an IT Professional working at the Centre of IT Services with Nanyang Technological University.  Prior to this, Lina was a missionary pastor in Philippines for 15 years. Together with her husband, Gideon Lau, they planted The Tabernacle Church and Missions Philippines in Davao City in 2015.  Her training includes Information Technology (Bachelor of Science, Computer Science and Information Systems, National University of Singapore), pastoral studies (MA, Asian Pastoral Institute, Singapore), theology (MDiv, Koinonia Theological Seminary, Philippines) and business and management (MBA, Ateneo de Davao University, Philippines).

During her tenure in the Philippines, Lina taught part-time at the University of Mindanao in her professional capacity.  She cultivated a deep connection with youth, fostering growth in youth and young professional ministries at the Davao church. Recently, she earned her PhD in Theology from Holy Cross of Davao College in 2024, focusing her research on youth ministry through the lens of Christus Vivit with her dissertation titled “A Theological Discourse On Youth Ministry Through the Lens of Christus Vivit”.
