Gideon Lau is a missionary pastor to the Philippines. He, together with his wife and two children, were sent by the church to plant and grow a missionary church in Davao City in 2009. His training is in the area of pastoral work in cross-culture environment. His training includes theology (MDiv, East Asia School of Theology, Singapore), business and management (MBA, Ateneo de Davao University, Philippines), pastoral studies (MA, Asian Pastoral Institute, Singapore), electrical and electronic engineering (Bachelor of Engineering, Electrical and Electronic, Nanyang Technological University). He has received a degree in Doctor of Philosophy in Theology at the Holy Cross of Davao College, Philippines.

Gideon is a goal getter in establishing new missionary works. Mentored by Senior Pastor Dr David J. Seah, he planted a church in Davao City from ground zero. His responsibilities include training, discipleship and leadership development. In his outreach, Gideon conducted values education seminars to teachers in the University of Mindanao.

Gideon’s research interests include Social Teachings of the Church, Catholic Theology, Workplace Spirituality, and Missiology.
