Choo May Eng Jodi

May Eng did her undergraduate studies in Arts and Social Science (majoring in Sociology and Philosophy) at the National University of Singapore. She was the book prize winner for Social Work in 1983. She continued with her divinity postgraduate training at Trinity Theological College, Singapore, with her Master of Divinity and Master of Theology.

May Eng teaches Systematic Theology, Historical Development of the Christian Movement, Survey of Church History, Foundations for Spiritual Disciplines, Kerygmatic Foundations and Research Writing with the Asian Pastoral Institute. As a Pastor at the Crystal Tabernacle, May Eng has oversight of the children’s church, the youth, young adult and adult ministries. She develops leaders and counsels them for growth. May Eng has a passion for social issues and oversees the church’s community outreach. Her rich pastoral experience allows her to bring depth and relevance into the classroom.

May Eng’s research interests include Spirituality of Desert Fathers and Christian Orders, Symbols and Rituals and Implications for Protestant Church and also Pneumatology. She has presented her research at conferences like the annual meetings of the Society for Pentecostal Studies. May Eng has also published in various theological journals like the Journal of Asian Evangelical Theology and Church & Society in Asia.
