Chew Ai Ping
Ai Ping was a Ministry of Education Local Teaching Scholar who read Chemistry as her major and a Life Sciences minor (BSc (Honours, Second Upper Division)) at the National University of Singapore. She subsequently obtained a Master of Science (by research) in Chemistry from the same university. She went on to obtain a postgraduate diploma in education specialising in secondary education (National Institute of Education), and a Master of Arts in Pastoral Studies and a Master of Divinity (Asian Pastoral Institute) to equip herself to serve in the pastoral ministry in community. In responding to God’s call to serve in full-time ministry, she currently serves as an assistant pastor with the Charis Tabernacle. She provides pastoral care to youth and young adults, and Ai Ping is also involved in the pulpit, worship, and projection.
Ai Ping teaches courses like Asian Religions, Southeast Asian studies, theology, Pentecostal-charismatic studies, and Teaching and Learning. Her training and experience in education and staff training equip her well to teach effectively, as she can explain complex concepts in clear and understandable ways. Ai Ping’s research interests include theology and religions in Asia, specifically Chinese religions and Buddhism. She also has keen interest and ability in learning new languages.
